The ld from elftoolchain can't link binaries on LiteBSD.

I dropped a compiled fullsize.o onto my sdcard and ran:
Code:
ld fullsize.o -lc -lgcc

and got back:
Code:
ld: warning: opendir failed: No such file or directory
ld: warning: opendir failed: No such file or directory
ld: multiple definition of symbol __divdi3

and no a.out file on the filesystem.

(Feel free to move this to the Bug Reports section.)

Further research:
I don't know what
Code:
ld: warning: opendir failed: No such file or directory
ld: warning: opendir failed: No such file or directory

is trying to tell me.

But I do know that
Code:
ld: multiple definition of symbol __divdi3

is triggered because both libc and libgcc have a __divdi3 symbol.

Serge: is it possible for you to look into these?

I put GNU as in the package repo. pcc needs a few patches to work with this older as but all the instructions pcc emits as can work with. Meaning that you can do
Code:
cc -o code.o -c code.c

and it'll work.

So it seems that with this ld fix we'll be able to move a C code file all the way through the toolchain.

New fun ld(1) error when trying to link emg on LiteBSD:
Code:
assertion "lsb->lsb_shndx < li->li_shnum - 1" failed: file "ld_symbols.c", line 930
