After extensive testing, I've finally defined which microSD card is the best for RetroBSD and LiteBSD applications: the winner is Samsung EVO 8Gb.

You can find the benchmark results here: wiki/doku.php/doc/sd-benchmark

Main criteria is the speed of shell test, or file test. It essentially specifies how fast the card will run shell scripts, filesystem check etc.

Second factor is the data write speed. Usually read speed is not so critical, as most card are fast enough here.

Hi Serge,

Impressive series of data :).

Amazing diffs in the ls -lR tests on LiteBSD??

I wonder what an SDIO driver would find? Eventually I suppose someone will do one.

I added a speed-test routine to my RetroBSD stuff. Works great.
