Is this normal to receive and if not is there any solution for it?
I am trying to connect via USB console on Win7/64. Finally got the hex successfully programmed to the micro (thanks to my new boards, that will be a different topic soon ;)), but it appears as an unknown USB device in Windows. Needless to say that MMbasic firmware does work. So I guess it is a question of some driver maybe?
Thanks

Thanks Pito! Somehow I have missed that and my driver, although appearing as working without any problems, was actually the problem.
Now I finally have a perfectly working RetroBSD system :)

I had a somewhat similar problem with the board lent to me by Serge. I needed to tell my Windows 7 to look for drivers for the "USB device" online and it found a serial USB driver and installed it, which resulted in creation of COM5 (before, I'd mistakenly thought that COM3 that I got from some other device in the system was it!) and the board started to respond to my input in the Hyper Terminal (the one from Windows XP still works in Windows 7!) on COM5.
