Hello all,

i have been trying to get LiteBSD running on a bare pic32mz2048ecg64, and
i do not find the config bit settings in the code. I managed to change them in RetroBSD
but for LiteBSD i am a bit lost.

Can anyone shed me some light where i can find the config bits for the oscillator
and everything? I just want to drive it on a pic + sd card with nothing around.

best regards

I don't think there are any yet. They're normally specified in the bootloader, so the kernel doesn't need them.

You can find an example of the DEVCFG setting for MEB-II board in file machdep.c.
Link: https://github.com/sergev/LiteBSD/blob/master/sys/mips/pic32/machdep.c#L109.

Thank you both, i will try a bit and post results.

Keep up the good work! I like seeing this run on PICs and not Atmels, and even
more that it´s BSD and not Linux

Yep, I totally agree I run 4.4 on bare also usgin MEBII definitions.

I have one question regarding uarts I checked every possible combination but after setting
on different ports (PPS) with the indications from UART Wiki have not luck

I tried (tty1 is console)

# stty -f /dev/tty2 speed 9600 cs8 -cstopb -parenb
115200
# stty -f /dev/tty2 speed 9600 cs8 -cstopb -parenb
9600
cat /dev/tty2

and echo "hi" > /dev/tty2 and no luck.

I tink "vak" maybe uart devices are not yet implemented like gpio's adc's ??

Cheers,
Mike
