I have finally got round to porting the UECIDE support for RetroBSD development in to the current version of UECIDE.

You can now install the RetroBSD core, along with the PIC32 compiler version 4.5.1 (you specifically need that version of things break horribly) and compile programs to run on RetroBSD.

Oh, and if someone could throw me a version of elf2aout compiler for the mac I can add it to the core to allow its use on the mac instead of just linux and windows.

Not sure exactly what you want. There are two converters from ELF to a.out:
tools\elf2aout\elf2aout.c
tools\icache\ice2aout.c
