When I build my baremetal (editing Config and devcfg.c) I have to run
"make clean"
"make"
twice in order to get a new fresh unix.hex.
Otherwise I get an unix.hex where the devcfg.c changes are in, but with the old Config stuff in.

The issue seems to be the files coming from "Config" processing are available for build AFTER the unix.hex is build.
You may see it on the time stamps when observing the resulting files attributes after a build.

When you modify the Config file, the recommended way is to run:
Code:
make reconfig
make

But the "make reconfig" does not work from top.
Would not be it easier to make "make reconfig" a default action - so it simply always runs within the "make"?
