First bit is because you don't have mkdep installed. It's used during the building of the new configsys tool, but isn't critical (as it's not used right now). To get rid of the message install mkdep.

The second part is because you have nothing in the "u" directory. Anything in u is used to populate user.img. If there is nothing in u then it doesn't do anything. It's not an error.
